Scientific Name: Heros severus

Fun fact: This animal is rarely found in the aquarium trade! The species in the aquarium trade that is more common is Heros efasciatus.

Region: Tropical freshwater cichlid native to the upper Orinoco and upper Rio Negro basins in South America.
