
Scientific Name: Hypostomus plecostomus
Fun fact: The genus Hypostomus is the largest in the family Loricariidae, containing over 130 species and many undescribed forms.
Region: Native to tropical northeastern South America. Commonly found in northeastern Brazil, the Guianas, and Trinidad and Tobago.
